The Open Camp

Ever wanted to meet some of the best players in the world?

In 2019, The Scottish Open will be played at the Renaissance Club, near Edinburgh, and we are thrilled to be able to share this amazing experience with our juniors. The Open Camp will include daily games of golf, tuition and of course, a trip to the Scottish Open. Expect to see some of the world’s best players, such as Rickie Fowler, Justin Rose, Patrick Reed or Rafa Cabrera-Bello, to name a few!

During this golf camp, the juniors will also be given a great all-round experience in St Andrews, playing the best courses in the area, learning from the finest instructors and most importantly having fun with plenty of additional activities.

Juniors are welcome to attend multiple weeks

About the Scottish Open

The Scottish Open (currently known as the Aberdeen Standard Investments Scottish Open) forms part of the European Tours’ Rolex Series and is one of eight premium events offering a minimum prize fund of $7 million. Established in 1935, it has a long list of illustrious winners, most recently including the likes of Rickie Fowler, Phil Mickleson, Alexander Noren and Justin Rose.

Hosted at The Renaissance Club near Edinburgh, it will be a fantastic opportunity for our juniors to attend such an event and see their favourite golf players competing for one of The European Tours most coveted titles.

The Open Camp includes:

  • 12 hours of golf tuition
  • Day out at the Scottish Open
  • Trackman and Video Analysis sessions
  • Personal Video Analysis and 3 online golf lessons throughout the year
  • Unlimited use of the driving range
  • 5 rounds on 5 of the best courses in St. Andrews
  • Option to enter the ballot to play The Old Course*
  • Outdoor activities such as football and organised beach activities
  • Mypro Links Championship
  • Mypro Award Ceremony
During our junior golf camp, the kids will go the Open Championship and see Tiger Woods

Welcome!

  • Transfer from Edinburgh Airport to University accommodation

  • Orientation of St Andrews
  • 9 holes on the Balgove

  • Introduction to the golf camp programme and week activities

Day 2

  • Tuition

  • 18 holes on the Kittocks Course
  • Dinner
  • Free time / organised evening activity e.g. football, cinema, beach activities, game room

Day 3

  • Tuition
  • Lunch
  • Mypro Team Tournament – Round 1 on The Castle Course
  • Dinner at the restaurant
  • Himalaya putting contest

Day 4

  • Tuition
  • Mypro Players Tournament – Round 1 on The Torrance Course
  • Dinner
  • Free time / organised evening activity e.g. football, cinema, beach activity, game room

Day 5

  • Tuition
  • Lunch
  • Mypro Team Tournament – Round 2 on the Jubilee Course
  • Dinner at the restaurant
  • Free time / organised evening activity e.g. football, cinema, beach activities, game room

Day 6

  • Day out at the Open!

Day 8

Transfer to Edinburgh Airport

For juniors who stay more than one week: 

  • Play golf with a PGA professional – golf on The Kittocks
  • Lunch
  • Free time / organised activity e.g. football, cinema, beach activities, games room or 9 holes on the Balgove
  • Dinner
  • Introduction to the second week’s golf camp programme and activities
